Tonight I’m doing something I never do, watching Chris Cuomo’s show on CNN. Why? Because the CNN host is smack in the middle of the story of the day: a 165-page report released by New York Attorney General Letitia James found that Cuomo’s brother, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, sexually harassed multiple female staffers. The word creepy came up more than once.
Somehow, even though he works for an international cable news network, Chris Cuomo is skipping the big story of the day — and glossing over the report’s mention of his role as part of his brother’s damage-control messaging machine.
And while he’s ignoring his brother’s scandal and possible impeachment, Chris Cuomo instead is talking about COVID and he’s engaging in Trump bashing. No bias there.
Yes, the younger Cuomo did mention a controversial governor — Florida’s Ron DeSantis. On CNN, it seems, only Republican governors are subject to scrutiny.
If I worked at CNN, steam would be gushing from my ears. Or my nose, and there’s a device for that.

If CNN can’t run news stories during prime-time hours, the network could just go with re-runs.
Or; maybe a programming note about Cuomo’s decision to ignore the sexual-harassment story and instead target Republican governors. But that would be news, so, no…
